are horses, boats and of course hunting and fishing, He is a music lover and a foodie.
He loves history and all things South Texas. Eric is married to Kari Bluntzer and together they have 4 children and 1 grandchild! Eric’s children are the 7th generation of his family to live on and operate their family farm and ranch
properties.
He grew up in the real estate business without realizing it. His passion has always been land,
the way we use it and the things we build on it. Daily conversations centered around cattle, equipment,
ranching, range management, farm practices, construction projects, property repairs, mining, oil and gas
leases, sales and purchases. Bank and Finance, trusts, estates, probates etc. were a part of everyday
operations. There are very few aspects of land ownership or property rights that Eric is not only versed
in, but personally engaged in.
In 1999, while doing some lot clearing and residential construction site preparation, a respected leading
local broker recruited Eric to become their “Farm and Ranch guy.”
One of his first listings was from an older gentleman that he would later label as a “mentor”, dropped a
borrowed line on him that he had never heard before and it stuck like concrete in my brain.
“The Best Investment on Earth is the Earth Itself!”
A deeper contemplation of the statement set the course for Eric’s career in real estate. It is his personal
mission statement. He believes in home ownership. In his opinion, that first home is the cornerstone of
the American Dream. “From that first home real estate ownership can grow into significant portions of
one’s net worth and is often the single largest asset in their portfolio.”
His clients range from homesteaders to rentals, second homes, commercial properties and of course
farms and ranches.
Eric himself is a farmland owner, an operating rancher and a vacation rental
homeowner. He and Kari own and operate rental homes and mini storages. “I put my money where my
mouth is, I practice what I preach.”
What he offers his clients is a broad base of knowledge gained not only through education but actual
real life experience.
